Highland cattle have to be some of the most whimsical creatures that have ever walked the planet. These shaggy scottish cows have "boy-band like" bangs, but are as rugged and powerful as they come.
We found a herd of these beautiful shaggy cows in Steamboat Springs, CO, and spent the next few days photographing them in their wintery climate. This Highland cow looked particular fierce with his head raised in the blizzardy conditions.
The images in this series are equal parts modern and rustic, and were created with modern interior design in mind. We intentionally use very high ISOs to create the appearance of film grain, and add texture and warmth to each image. Images in this series are printed in small, fine art editions of 35 for prints 24x36 and over, and editions of 100 for prints 20x30 and under. Prints come on museum grade photographic paper for superior fade resistance.
